I have a query : I have seen a Bracco Italiano who’s colour is mainly orange roan. On one side of the ribcage it shows a large area of pure orange & white. My question is.” Is this permissible or classed as mismarked”?

Io non vorrei fraintendere ma con la parola "orange roan" lei intende un bianco arancio melato o un arancio + marrone roano?

Se il mantello aveva solo i due colori bianco + arancio allora per quanto riguarda la distribuzione delle macchie sul mantello nello standard non è prevista alcuna regola pertanto la particolarità del mantello di questo Bracco Italiano non dovrebbe essere elemento di squalifica.

Ci sono soggetti che hanno un lato della cassa toracica macchiato e l'altro totalmente bianco.
La simmetria del mantello nello standar non è ritenuta obbligatoria (è preferenziale nella maschera facciale... ma non è obbligatoria).


E i difetti da squalifica (sul colore ) sono:

.".............. depigmentazione totale, mantello nero, bianco e nero, tricolore, fulvo, nocciola, unicolore, focato, mucose, pelle e suoi annessi con tracce di nero".

I would not misunderstand but with the word "orange roan" she means a honeyed orange white or an orange and brown roan?

If the mantle had only two colors white + orange with regard to the distribution of the spots on the mantle in the standard is not expected any rule therefore the peculiarity of the Italian Bracco mantle of this element should not be disqualified.

There are subjects that have one side of the ribcage stained and the other totally white.
The symmetry of the mantle is not considered mandatory in the standard (it is preferred in the face mask ... but it is not obligatory).


And the mistakes by disqualification (the color) are:

. ".............. Total depigmentation, black mantle, black and white, tricolor, fawn, brown, unicolor, tan, mucous membranes, skin and its appendages with traces of black."

Bianco, bianco con macchie più o meno grandi e di colore arancio o ambra
White , white with marks more or less large orange or AMBER


I think its orange / brown can be understood as amber
