Che cosa significa "a tetto?" E stata proposto negli Stati Uniti cambiare lo standard dello spinone da "in senso sagittale a tetto" a "visto dal parte anteriore, come duomo."

correct !! in fact the official standard in english is :
"lateral walls gently sloping like a roof" (viewed from the front)
but I agree with you it's very difficult (also impossible) today to find a spinone with the a.m.
shape of the skull. Therefore the proposal you quote "domed when viewed from the front"

and it's very strange the fact I know some skulls like a "roof" but these dogs aren't spinoni but Bracchi, see f.i. the following photo

Grazie, Lucio, veramente la testa "a tetto" non c'è più? Ho pensato che la testa "domed" sia troppo piatto, o forse troppo come pallone. Ho avuto un immagine (visto dal parte anteriore) nel mente così:

L'illustrazione è esagerata, ma spero che il significato sia chiaro.
Mi pare quasi tragico cambiare lo standard secondo i cani, invece preservare l'apparenza del cane come scritto (se sia una descrizione giusta.)

Are there really no more heads "a tetto?" I had though that a domed head was too flat, like a basketball. I imagine something like the attached illutration (viewed from the front).
The illustration is exaggerated, but I hope that my meaning is clear.
It seems sad to change the standard to match the dogs instead of preserving the dogs as the standard is written (if the description is correct.)

purtroppo ti confermo che di teste "a tetto" non ne vedo più negli spinoni.
unfortunately i have to confirm you that i don't see any head "as a roof" between the spinoni.
being ( the roof head) only a morphological particular, the only way to return
essendo (il cranio a tetto) solo un particolare morfologico, la sola via per ritornare
to the original shape of the skull should be a cross with another breed
alla forma originale del cranio sarebbe un incrocio con altra razza
