Mi chiamo Vittorio Milanesi e lo jagd terrier che vedete nella foto è il mio cane. Si chiama Vento, ha 6 anni ed è scomparso a Montalto Pavese (PV) in località Bosco dei Losi in data 4 ottobre 2014. Quel giorno Vento partecipava a una battuta di caccia al cinghiale e indossava: un collare con numero di telefono e campano e un collare con trasmettitore GPS. Ad un certo punto il GPS ha smesso di trasmettere il segnale e il cane non è più stato rintracciabile. Nei giorni successivi ho battuto la zona con l'aiuto di amici e con quello dei Vigili del Fuoco al fine di ispezionare anche le tane. Non abbiamo trovato nessuna traccia del cane. Il cane, che per me è come un fratello, conosce bene la zona e , se è vivo e non imprigionato, è in grado di ritrovare la strada di casa ma... non rientra. Questo e altri indizi mi portano a pensare che può essere stato rubato per essere rivenduto in altre parti d'Italia o all'estero, forse nell'Europa dell'Est.
Il cane è regolarmente microchippato e ha il suo DNA depositato in quanto è Campione Italiano di Bellezza. Oltre a ciò ha partecipato a prove di traccia e raduni razza cosa che lo rende molto riconoscibile nel circuito degli appassionati (proprietari, giudici e allevatori). È un cane che vive con me, che ho addestrato io e che ho sempre condotto personalmente. non è un buon soggetto da utilizzare in muta né è facilmente gestibile in lavoro da uno sconosciuto.

My name is Vittorio Milanesi and the deutscher jagdterrier featured in the picture is my dog. His name is Vento and he had disappeared in Montalto Pavese (Northern Italy) on Oct. 4th 2014. On that day Vento was hunting wild boars and he was wearing two collars: one featuring my phone number and with a bell hanging and a GPS tracking collar. Suddenly the GPS stopped working and Vento could no longer be found. My friends and I inspected the whole area in order to find him and the firemen came along as well, to make sure Vento was not buried in a fox or in a badger hole. We could not find any signs that could in confirm Vento's presence, nor his death. This dog, that for me is like a brother, knows the area very well and if alive and not caged into someone's else kennel can find the way home... but he is nor coming home. This, and further hints, make me think that he could have been stolen to be sold in Italy or abroad (maybe in Eastern Europe).
The dog is microchipped and has his DNA deposited, he is a Show Champion and DNA deposit is compulsory. He has been showed at breed specialties and competed in blood tracking events, hence he is quite recognizable by breed amateurs (owners, judges, breeders). This dog lives with me and I am his friend, his trainer and his handler, he won't hunt boar properly in a pack, nor work properly with and for unknown people.
