Commenta

Hello from a Beretta lover in the USA!
Hello to all my new friends in Italy! I regret that I am not able to write to you in your language.
I have recently read some posts here, but it is difficult - I must use a free online translator, and it does not work very well. Sometimes I am able to figure out what you are saying, but other times the online translation is completely useless! However, I have read enough to know there are people here who share my love for Beretta shotguns of the 300 series. I will soon be asking questions here, because there obviously are some experts here.
I am a retired Engineer. I use Beretta shotguns to shoot the sport we call Sporting Clays, which is also called English-style Sporting. I occasionally shoot FITASC as well.
The Beretta 300-series shotguns are highly respected in the USA, but as far as I know I am the only person in the country who has tried to get an example of every model in the series, as well as the Beretta clones. I currently own the following:
AL-1
AL-2
A300
A301
A302
A303
A304
A390
A391
A3901
A300 Outlander
Browning B-80
Breda Altair (but it has a Beretta barrel [:-cry]and Altair is very rare here.)
Singer Nikko Gas Auto (made in Japan under license from Beretta)
I recently bought an AL-3 which has a nearly new receiver, but the barrel and stock are replacements and damaged! The AL-3 is rare and this is the only one I have ever seen.
I do most of my target shooting with an AL-2 to which I have added a 32 inch MobilChoke barrel from a 303 Special Trap. I think I might get a custom-made stock for the AL-3 (high-quality suitable for an AL-3) and use it as my primary target gun.
Thank you for making me welcome! I will soon have questions for the experts here!

Maxxx, your English is very good!
For hunting migratory waterfowl (ducks, geese) our Federal (national) law restricts us to 3 cartridges, and the gun must be plugged to limit it to 3. For other game, it varies from one state to another - some places 3, some places no limit.
I have done some hunting, but mostly clay target shooting. I love to shoot my Berettas, and I can do more shooting in a day than most hunters do in a year! I usually shoot 100 targets, 2 or 3 times a week. I hope to shoot my new AL-3 tomorrow (with an AL-2 stock on it temporarily). Many sporting clays shooters here use A391, and the A400 is becoming popular. The A303 is very popular with trap shooters. Not many of us use the older Berettas, although there are still many AL-2 and 303 used by hunters. (The AL-2 is almost the same thing as the A301).

By the way: I believe the AL-1, AL-2, and AL-3 were sold only in the USA, and the model names were given to them by the US importer, which was Garcia. Do you think that is correct? Are the AL models available in Europe?
The AL models seem to be based on the A300/301, with minor cosmetic differences.

Welcome in this forum. If you like the a300 series, you are in the best forum about this wonderful rifle. The most prepared user on a300 series is "Oliviero" who knows all about A300 and Breda barrels. he is continously looking for the perfect barrel to use, but in my honest opinion he found it. Sorry for my english, i would like to improve it. However if you have any query, do not hesitate to ask. The ALs series were built for USA, but in italy there are many people who has it. In the first post of this thread, you can see an AL1.
Big hug
Tommy
